Implants
What is a dental implant?
Dental implants are made of pure titanium in the form of a screw which attaches it to the bone. Titanium is a material which the human body accepts with no complications. Before the first use, the body must bind the bone with the implant. Firm and permanent attachment in the bone is a prerequisite for reliable and long-term replacement. A correctly used and hygienically well-kept implant can last a lifetime.
Implants in a defective bone
In the last years, development led to creating of new materials and techniques that help us replace the missing bone as well as the soft dental tissue in such a way that it is possible to place an implant. These procedures are called guided tissue and bone regeneration.
